Description:

In this course you will be introduced to optical design. You will discuss various parameters used to define an optical system. You will discuss optical aberrations in detail and demonstrate how you can correct aberrations in a flawed optical design. You will use computer aided software to create and optimize optical designs. You will also design optical coatings for a variety of applications with the assistance of computer software.

  • CAPT1013 - Computer Aided Drafting (3D) AND
    • MATH1431 - Mathematics IV for Technology OR
