This course introduces physical optics and lasers through theory and lab investigation. In the lecture, you will be introduced to the physics of geometric optics and the operational characteristics and specifications of laser technology. You will develop practical manufacturing skills, including proper optical handling, cleaning, and alignment techniques. You will review laser health and safety protocols in the lecture, which you will then practice in the lab.
