This course focuses on developing the attitude needed to lead a healthy lifestyle and be better equipped to meet the demands of the vocational testing and ultimately the physical rigors of the policing profession. Through developing a deeper comprehension of the theoretical underpinnings of training the student will be more prepared to speak to any gaps in his/her physical performance and what is expected of them by potential employers. This course is also designed to help you identify physical expectations set forth by law enforcement profession. This is a continuation of PHED1269, Fitness and Use of Force Management II. This course provides the opportunity for students to continue their physical preparation (through progressively increasing criteria) to pass the PREP and PARE tests and other in-service testing measures. This course has specific protocols relating to missed classes. Please refer to the program manual and Teaching and Learning Plan for full details.
