Description:

Clinical pharmacology deals with the characteristics, effects, properties, reactions, and uses of drugs, particularly their therapeutic value in humans, toxicology, and safety. You will study the basic principles associated with pharmacology including the use of drugs for certain conditions, the actions drugs have on the human body and how they are broken down and excreted. Professional responsibility with respect to pharmaceutical care will be examined, as well and the personal and social implications of both the use and misuse of drugs. If you are interested in pharmacology but have not had extensive training, this is the course for you.
