You will integrate the study, practice and application of advanced police methodologies and contrast these with the day to day operational requirements of a modern Police Service. You will examine complex criminal investigations and the various investigative techniques in order to understand how they are applied in a practical and realistic environment. You will learn how technology and criminal investigations are currently changing within the law enforcement profession. You will explore intelligence led policing, crime scene management, suspect detection and apprehension, victimization issues, current domestic and international security issues, dangerous offender applications, cyber-crime and the use social media as an investigative tool.
