In this course you will develop the skill of "offence recognition." You will learn how to interpret sections of the Criminal Code that create criminal offences with an emphasis on identifying the facts in issue that comprise those offences. You will conduct case studies and learn how to identify the criminal offences that were committed based on the facts contained in those case studies. You will also learn to interpret and apply the provisions of the Police Service Act.
