In this highly interactive course, you will focus on treating the 'whole' person by extending patient care and family support beyond physical needs to address the emotional, social, cultural, spiritual, and intellectual aspects of terminal illness and end-of-life care. You will explore and understand theory of transition as it applies to the changes that clients and families will experience as they progress through the illness. You will also explore various strategies that support psychosocial challenges of the client, family and self as caregiver.
