You will acquire advanced knowledge about musculoskeletal and neurologic conditions and the range and use of therapeutic activities to promote performance following impairment in function. Under the direction of the therapist and through problem solving, applying the principles of activity analysis and selection, you will develop plans for therapeutic interventions for clients with functional/physical disability. In these plans, you will learn to incorporate the use of assistive devices as appropriate. In the lab environment, you will apply the theory related to therapeutic activities and the use and adaptation of assistive devices for clients with a variety of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions to promote optimum client functioning.
