You will develop the knowledge and skills necessary for thorough, objective, accurate, and nonjudgmental recording of client information in paper-based or electronic formats. You will apply your knowledge related to privacy and confidentiality; terminology, abbreviations and symbols; relevant legislation; the role of the therapist assistant as related to documentation; and the existence of policies and procedures specific to clinical settings. You will produce examples of documentation that are legibly handwritten or electronically produced.
