In this course, you will focus on the role of purchasing in the supply chain. Specifically, the purchasing function as it relates to the procurement, management and allocation of resources in business enterprises. You will emphasize purchasing as a primary supply chain activity. Topics include purchasing and supply management, operating policies and procedures, managing the transformation process, pricing principles, contracts, ordering agreements and negotiations.
