The function and science of operations management exist in almost all business enterprises. From large businesses to entrepreneurial endeavours, operations management is the engine that enables these businesses to exist and compete. This course is intended to provide learners with an overview of some of the critical components of operations management. The course design combines theoretical and practical elements that familiarize learners with critical operational analysis and control functions. Through a practical, hands-on approach, the curriculum will address the tools and analytics utilized in managing operations as resource inputs are transformed into outputs supporting customer requirements in manufacturing and service operations.
