The function and science of operations management is present in almost all business enterprises. From large businesses to entrepreneurial endeavors, operations management is the engine that enables these businesses to exist and compete. This course is intended to provide learners with an overview of some of the critical components of operations management. The course design combines theoretical and practical elements that offer learners the opportunity to become familiar with critical operational analysis and control functions. Through a practical hands on approach, curriculum will address the tools and analytics utilized in the management of operations as resource inputs are transformed into outputs in support customer requirements in both manufacturing and service operations.
