This course introduces you to Operations Management and provides you with an overview of the skills required by managers when operating small to large businesses within the manufacturing, transportation, government, education, health, retail, and many other service sectors of the economy. Major topics include the operations management function, heritage of operations management, creation of goods and services, customer service, forecasting techniques, procurement, supply management and just-in-time strategies, aggregate planning, inventory management, materials requirements planning, scheduling techniques, quality management and control techniques, and productivity analysis and improvement.
