Description:

In this course you will learn the history of winemaking in Canada, the evolution of our grape and wine industries, and the roles played by many individuals, organizations and by government in this development - a journey of over 200 years. You will become familiar with numerous grape species and varieties and learn how they have impacted our domestic wine industry. You will investigate the wineries operating in Canada today and their varied nature. You will gain an in-depth knowledge of the VQA and its role in Ontario's wine industry.
