This course introduces students to the concepts needed to understand and apply evidence based nursing to provide optimal care of the older client. Through exploring the spirit of inquiry, students will begin to understand the processes involved in health research, how to find, collect, interpret, appraise and integrate the best evidence into their clinical decision making. Through lecture, dialogue and case studies, the students will become confident in understanding the research process and how to apply the best evidence in making sound clinical decisions in nursing practice.
