Description:

This course will challenge the student to explore and recognize effective leadership characteristics and begin to envision how to enhance their own leadership attributes and enact positive leadership that creates change and influences care with a focus on the older adult population. Students will build confidence and skills in enhancing clinical expertise to question the status quo, challenge process and question treatments to advocate for exemplary care of the older adult. By exploring leadership theory, reflective practice, and integrating critical and creative processes, students will begin their lifelong leadership development.
