This course introduces students to a broad spectrum of topics and issues related to aging and health in the Canadian context. Through lecture, case scenario and dialogue, student will gain knowledge of how economic factors, health literacy, social and physical status, politics, and culture shape the health and wellness of the older adult. In addition students will explore how the nursing discipline has made a significant contributions in the area of aging healthy in Canada.
