Description:

This is an introductory course in manufacturing technology for photonics. Students will be exposed to through-hole and surface mount technology (SMT) associated with electronic assemblies used in the photonics industry. Alternative component attachment using adhesives and epoxies for microcircuit assembly will also be investigated.
