Description:

You will be introduced to the dynamic world of retailing in Canada, examining the key issues facing retailers today as they compete in an environment that has changed dramatically due to increased competition and advances in technology. You will learn about the wide range of retail formats being utilized to reach today's demanding consumer, and the importance of managing retail operations including critical decisions that must be made in terms of location, store layout and design, visual merchandising and buying, pricing and retail promotional strategy. Using case studies, assignments and a major project, you will address these issues and be provided with a hands-on view of retailing.
