Description:

The application of industrial robots in manufacturing operations, including automated material handling, assembly, and other processes, is the focus of the course. Divided into a theoretical and a practical component, the subject matter provides students with a solid foundation in the concepts and mechanics of industrial robots, high-level robotic programming and operation, and the design of end-of-arm tooling. Throughout the course, the ABB Rapid programming language and RobotStudio graphical programming software will be used to manually and offline create robot code for the control and operation of typical articulating robots commonly found in industry.

  • CAPT1238 - Computer Applications II AND
  • CAPT1337 - Computer Aided Design and Rapid Prototyping
