Description:

In this course, the student will learn and apply the fundamentals of tool design. Production and economic factors will be taken into account when selecting a tooling plan. Workholding methods and common applications of devices are shown. The student will design a drilling jig or milling fixture. They will analyze and create a drawing set for a press tool. Metal forming, blanking, and shearing will be studied.
