In this course the student will learn and apply the fundamentals of tool design. Production and economic factors will be considered in selecting a tooling plan. Workholding methods and common applications of devices are shown. The student will design a drilling jig and milling fixture. They will analyze and create a drawing set for a press tool. Metal forming, blanking, and shearing will be analyzed.
