Description:

This course will include practical experience as students are introduced to processes, procedures and applications involved in the operation of conventional machine tools used in a manufacturing environment. Topics will include bench work and the operation of machines including: saws, drilling machines, lathes, milling machines and surface grinders. The course will emphasize safe work habits using proper tools and procedures required to operate in an efficient and safe work environment. Niagara College Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) will form the standard operating principles for all tools used and applied.
