This course is designed to provide the fundamental concepts of recognition and protection from Occupational Health and Safety hazards. Core material has been developed collaboratively by labour-management health and safety committees, the W.S.I.B. and I.H.S.A. The student will identify prescribed legal responsibilities, interpret workplace standards, be aware of health issues, determine hazard concerns, distinguish equipment issues and recognize location specific issues.
