During this course you will apply a mixture of basic mathematical techniques such as ratios and proportions to the field of finance. You will calculate trade and cash discounts, markup and markdown. You will perform break-even analysis to meet financial objectives. You will be analyzing situations where money is being borrowed/loaned using both simple and compound interest. You will apply various types of annuities to purchases. You will end this course by investigating the concept of amortization as it applies to mortgages.
