Mathematics I is a common first term math course which is offered to all Technician and Technologist students enrolled in the School of Technology Studies. The course begins with an intensive review of basic algebra. You will apply algebraic skills to manipulate relevant technical formulae and employ correct notation within calculations. You will solve linear equations and systems of equations by various methods. You will use trigonometric ratios to solve problems involving right triangle and oblique triangles. You will graph and apply transformations to trigonometric functions. You will solve problems involving adding or subtracting vectors.
