This course offers students the opportunity to become acquainted with key geographical facts and current economic data of countries and organizations globally that takes place due to globalization. Study will focus on the convergence of environmental, sociocultural, political, and economical systems with its numerous consequences, at every scale of analysis and in every part of the world. By working on an assignment, learners will practice the study of diverse trade agreements and policies despite the leveling tendencies of globalization. This is to deepen students' knowledge and practice in international and domestic trade agreement issues, such as NAFTA, EU, APEC, MERCOSUR, CARICOM, the new TPP and the ANDEAN pact. The course will stress on problem-based learning and use the process of inquiry to investigate practical cases in various interest. The work will begin with individual and team projects and then culminate in a project activity and/or individual presentations.
