This is an introduction to the structure and function of the hair and scalp with a focus on different types and diseases encountered in the industry. Students will learn to analyze the hair and scalp in order to give professional advice and treatments. Student will also learn basic chemistry and electricity to ensure safe use of electrical equipment and chemical solutions. The use of correct terminology and characteristics of professionalism will be reinforced while students develop sensitivity to interacting with a variety of clients.
