Description:

In this course, you will experience the complexity of the landscape design and building industry and further your design and drafting skills. You will design and implement plans for residential and site-specific landscapes that address site-specific problems. You will learn to use supportive software to create working drawings, including 3D rendering, and to enhance master plan presentation drawings. You will be introduced to the role of design consultant, explore the world of building permits and city bylaws as they pertain to landscape construction, and begin developing skills to work effectively with landscape contractors while advocating for your client. Preparation for Landscape Ontario's "Certified Landscape Designers" accreditation will continue during this course. At the end of the course, you will be able to demonstrate a high proficiency in creating professional and functional landscape designs.
