Description:

You will learn the requirements necessary for vegetable production in greenhouses. Using case scenarios, greenhouse visits, and problem-solving, you will develop the skills required to produce cucumbers, tomatoes, and peppers. You will investigate the effect of plant environment on vegetable production and become familiar with current integrated pest management techniques. You will also study selected herbs and research innovative crops as alternatives to the three main vegetable crops.

    • HORT1015 - Plant Science II AND
    • HORT1009 - Horticulture Entomology AND
    • HORT1326 - Greenhouse Root-Zone Techniques
