You will be introduced to the practical skills needed for the maintenance and removal of trees in the urban forest. Upon completion, you will be able to safely use ropes and knots for all arboriculture practices. You will use practical outdoor work sessions to learn and practice current climbing techniques. You will become familiar with the requirements for certification by the International Society of Arboriculture. While working with trees, you will learn how to wear and use equipment essential for safe arboriculture practice as well as current climbing and pruning procedures.
