Description:

This is an intermediate design course building upon the design theories studied and professional skills developed in first year landscape courses. Students will design a variety of sites, including commercial, residential and feature gardens to demonstrate proficiency in landscape design function and soft landscape design. Students will further develop their computer aid drafting skills, including the introduction to new software focusing on enhancing Master Plan Presentations. Students will demonstrate their landscape knowledge by completing a key stone landscape design project focused on encouraging people to spend more time in the landscape for the purpose of increased health. An introduction and the initial steps of preparation will begin for Landscape Ontario's "Certified Landscape Designers" accreditation which is possible to test for upon graduating.
