Description:

This is an intermediate design course that builds upon the design theories studied and the professional skills developed in first-year landscape courses. Students will design a variety of sites, including commercial, residential and feature gardens, to demonstrate proficiency in landscape design function and soft landscape design. Students will further develop their computer-aided drafting skills, including an introduction to software designed to enhance Master Plan Presentations. Students will demonstrate their landscape knowledge by completing a key-stone landscape design project focused on encouraging people to spend more time in the landscape to improve their health. An introduction and the initial preparation steps will begin for Landscape Ontario's "Certified Landscape Designers" accreditation, which can be tested for upon graduating.
