Description:

You will be introduced to greenhouse environment control programs through hands on simulated activities. You will use the simulation interface to develop skill in environmental controls that will include temperature, light, humidity, air circulation, venting, energy curtains, irrigation, fertilization, and CO2 systems. You will analyze the affects these various controls have on the crop and will further determine their effect on the efficient use of greenhouse energy. You will be introduced to the operation and maintenance of different technologies and machinery used in greenhouse production. You will explore the main components of boilers and analyze boiler operation.
