In this course, you will review the principles of plant pathology. The emphasis will be on plant disease epidemiology and identification of common diseases. You will explore topics including plant predisposition to pathogen attacks, the characteristics of disease epidemics, and the impact of environmental changes on disease initiation, development, and management. You will characterize common diseases to illustrate the various causes, including biotic factors, fungi, bacteria, viruses, and nematodes.
