Description:

In this course you will review the principles of plant pathology. The emphasis will be on plant disease epidemiology and identification of common diseases. You will explore topics including predisposition of plants to pathogen attacks, the characteristics of disease epidemics, impact of environmental changes on disease initiation, development and management. You will characterize common diseases in order to illustrate the various causes including biotic factors, fungi, bacteria, viruses and nematodes.
