Description:

You will be introduced to a selection of the most common annuals, biennials and herbaceous perennials grown in Southern Ontario. Through projects and activities, you will recognize the importance of using native perennials and annuals in typical landscapes. You will investigate the use and application of these plants in containers, the landscape and nurseries. You will demonstrate effective placement of the plants within beds and borders relative to blooming time, height, form, colour and texture. You will develop a garden log for either commercial landscapers or nursery production.
