You will be introduced to plants, their environment and become familiar with the language of horticulture. You will examine plant structure and morphology through a variety of activities in the Niagara College campus and greenhouse. You will investigate how plants adapt to different environments and how they obtain the basic needs for life. You will experiment with sexual and asexual reproduction. You will reproduce selected plants using tissue culture.
