Description:

Students from various health professions will receive a general overview of the philosophy and basic skills required to function as members of interprofessional teams. This course will investigate the essential skills for collaborating effectively at both interpersonal and professional levels. The course will examine relevant concepts, including caring, helping relationships, therapeutic interviewing, and team dynamics. As well as focusing on clients across the lifespan, collaboration, and self-reflection. The characteristics of effective and ineffective teams are explored within large and small team environments.
