This course will build on your foundation of 3D animation and rigging by further exploring the science of motion and its application in the gaming industry. It will expand on traditional methods, practices, and ideologies to strengthen skills and refine style. It will involve examining current industry trends and the mechanics behind them. Throughout this course, students will be expected to analyze numerous methods for creating a multitude of real-world motions relevant to both characters and mechanical devices. On the character side, this will focus on producing strong gestures and poses, solid acting, and methods for planning effective animation. It will also build on skills required for working in a team environment and for constructive critique. Software packages in this course may include Unity, 3DS Max, Photoshop and MotionBuilder.
