This course introduces you to the principles and practices of professional event management with a focus on research, creative design, and strategic planning. You will learn how to conceptualize, design, and plan events that meet client objectives while considering audience needs, budgeting, logistics, risk management, sustainability, and stakeholder engagement. Through case studies, industry examples, and applied projects, students will explore the event lifecycle. By the end of the course, students will develop the skills to design and plan a wide range of events using creative strategies for event design and thematic development. Emphasis will be placed on creativity, problem-solving and collaboration.
