Description:

This course will allow students to explore the key components of managing a spa. An introduction to the tangible elements surrounding successful spa operations will be examined, including financial management, spa design and concepts, standard operating procedures, and property management systems and software. A study of the human resources element of effective spa management will be a focal point of this course. Emphasis will be given to the interpersonal relationships and roles necessary to effectively manage, motivate and train staff and provide guest-centred service. Successful students will have the skills, knowledge and leadership qualities to take on management responsibilities in the spa industry confidently.
