You will learn the history of esthetics and skin care, specifically focusing on the concepts required to complete a basic facial with massage. You will develop skin care treatment protocols and recommend home care for various skin types using your understanding of skin physiology, key components to skin analysis, and a basic understanding of product knowledge. The role and characteristics of professionalism, client safety, and proper sanitation/disinfection procedures as they pertain to meeting industry standards and expectations will be examined.
