This course is designed to enable you to identify and recommend waste processing collection systems options and procurement equipment for waste management. You will acquire an excellent understanding of waste management facilities and technologies, municipal roles and operations, government requirements, waste haulers, brokers, processors and exchange networks. You will be able to identify the various components which make up the solid waste stream and calculate waste generation rates. In addition, you will be able to assess a waste stream to determine; options available for waste collection and processing; markets for recyclable and compatibles; and appropriate collection and processing equipment.
