Description:

This course will provide knowledge of surface water, sediments and benthic macroinvertebrates and their dynamics in relation to one another and changes in the landscape. These parameters will be discussed as they relate to the concept of water quality. The emphasis of this course is on the practical (standard methods) lab and field techniques involved in the collection and analysis of samples from aquatic systems. The basics of flow monitoring are covered and related to those concepts learned in Hydrology.

  • ENVR1108 - Environmental Ecology AND
  • ENVR1207 - Environmental Sampling and Analysis
