Description:

Water, water everywhere definitely describes our country's fortunate allocation of this globally important resource, but also points to the challenges of managing its quality and quantity into the future. In this course, you will study the science of water, its chemistry and movement through surface water (lentic and lotic) and groundwater systems. You will gain sound practical knowledge of applied hydrology as it relates to natural and urban environments, including water balance, water inputs and abstractions and watershed modeling. You will also study groundwater dynamics and groundwater sampling techniques.
