Description:

How does our society value the environment, and what is the legislative and procedural process for evaluating and remediating sites that our past practices have contaminated? In this course, you will explore various land and water resource issues that have impacted our society and its ability to live in a sustainable manner. Critical thinking skills will be developed through participating in class discussions and debates. You will also learn the fundamentals of Phase I, II and III ESAs including legislation, standards and the application of Site Condition Standards. Emphasis will be on practical techniques for completing ESA work.
