Description:

This course introduces students to soil/air/water and ecosystems and provides an understanding of the sources, effects of and solutions for pollution and other forms of degradation on ecological systems. The objective is to give students a solid understanding of ecosystem function and to highlight the global implications of human activity. Environmental impacts will be examined from a historical, cultural, social and ethical perspective. Global Climate Change and Sustainability will be recurring themes in this course.
