This course combines an introduction to self-employment and entrepreneurial development in order to allow students to explore employment in the rapidly growing commercial recreation and sport services sector. Elements covered in this course will include the nature, scope and characteristics of commercial recreation and sports, and its economic and social impacts; identification of entrepreneurial skills; and the selection of a product, service or program to develop a viable business plan.
