Description:

In this course, students will gain a working knowledge of storage batteries and battery charging systems. Students will also learn the principles and components of connecting an independent energy-producing system to the public power grid. Students will also become familiar with the Electrical Code requirements governing these installations in Ontario. This course will equip students with the basic skills necessary to enter the Renewable Energy field, including working alongside a journeyman and applying the Canadian Electrical Code to install various types of energy storage systems safely.

  • ELEC1228 - Electrical Concepts II AND
    • MATH1242 - Mathematics for Renewable Energies Technicians OR
    • MATH1231 - Mathematics II for Technicians and Technologists
