You will select advanced assessment and intervention skills required to demonstrate assessment skills. Critical thinking will allow for differential diagnosis while formulating a treatment plan, establishing the patient's chief complaint, incorporating transport decisions, communicating with the Base Hospital physician, receiving hospital staff, and performing continued assessment/intervention plans at the ACP level. This course is skill- and scenario-based, with the final expectation that you will competently and safely integrate knowledge, critical thinking, and skills learned in Semesters I and II into simulated situations. You will perform according to the National Occupational Competency Profile for the Paramedic Practitioner in the 'S' setting.
